Notes

Groovestem Indian plantain (Arnoglossum plantagineum) is a perennial for meadow gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The glossy leaves grow mostly at the base and look striking, while the white summer flowers are small. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Buffalo grass, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Gentian.
