Notes

'Heron' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Heron') is a perennial for borders and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. Fragrant pink flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and they attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Rabbits tend to pass it by. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan, Limeglow creeping juniper, and Foxtail barley.
