Notes

Holm oak (Quercus ilex) is a tree for hedges, low maintenance gardens, and xeriscape. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It keeps its leaves all year and grows tall and wide. It handles drought and salt well, so it suits dry or coastal sites.

Pairs well with Little Gem southern magnolia, Green Velvet buxus, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
