Notes

'Green Velvet' buxus (Buxus 'Green Velvet') is a shrub for hedges, borders, foundation plantings, and formal gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It stays green all year, and pale green blooms attract bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. You can clip it into neat shapes.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Japanese forest grass.
