Notes

'Little Gem' southern magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora 'Little Gem') is a tree for specimen planting, borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. This compact, evergreen magnolia stays much smaller than the species. Deer tend to pass it by. The fragrant white flowers attract bees.

Pairs well with Serviceberry, Carolina jessamine, Catnip, and Red spider lily.
