Notes

'Joan J' raspberry (Rubus idaeus 'Joan J') is a fruit for food gardens, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching canes reach about 4 to 6 feet tall, and bees, butterflies, and birds visit the plant. Deer tend to pass it by. Give it room to arch.

Pairs well with Lemon balm, Jacob Cline spotted beebalm, and Bartlett pear.
