Notes

'Jacob Cline' spotted beebalm (Monarda 'Jacob Cline') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and cut flower use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The red blooms are fragrant and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It is a mildew resistant selection. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Stargazer lily.
