Notes

'Polka' raspberry (Rubus idaeus 'Polka') is a shrub for food gardens, hedges, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching canes bloom in spring and summer, and the flowers draw butterflies, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Polka grows at a moderate rate.

Pairs well with Empire apple, Garlic chives, Calendula, and Clematis.
