Notes

'Kermesina' blue flag (Iris versicolor 'Kermesina') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist to wet, loamy or clay soil. Deer tend to pass it by. It blooms from early to late spring and again from early to late summer. Its arching clumps spread 12 to 24 inches, so give it room.

Pairs well with Candelabra primrose, Aurea tufted sedge, and Golden male fern.
