Notes

'Kohout' Korean fir (Abies koreana 'Kohout') is a slow-growing evergreen shrub for borders, containers, and specimen or accent planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays small at 12 to 24 inches tall and 24 to 36 inches wide, with an erect habit. Deer tend to pass it by. You can tuck it into a tight spot where a small evergreen is needed.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Black Baccara rose, and Casa Blanca lily.
