Notes

Blue fescue (Festuca glauca) is a clumping grass for borders, rock gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. The blue foliage forms neat tufts about 9 to 12 inches tall, and butterflies visit the purple-tinged green flowers. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It tolerates drought, so it is easy to grow.

Pairs well with Lamb’s ear, Pink Impression tulip, and Stargazer lily.
