Notes

'Black Baccara' rose (Rosa 'Black Baccara') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Dark red blooms open in spring, summer, and autumn above dark green leaves. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers. Alain A. Meilland bred it in 2004.

Pairs well with Clary sage, Butterfly bush, Ornamental onion, and Niobe clematis.
