Notes
'Lady in Red' lady fern (Athyrium 'Lady in Red') is a fern for shade gardens, woodland settings, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall with an arching habit. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows at a moderate rate, so give it room to spread.
Pairs well with Minuteman hosta, Green Spice coral bells, and Cinnamon fern.
