Notes

'Ghost' lady fern (Athyrium 'Ghost') is a fern for shade gardens, borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. It grows 24 to 30 inches tall and spreads 18 to 24 inches, so give it room to fill in.

Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Red trillium, and Western sword fern.
