Notes

'Little Carlow' tartarian aster (Aster 'Little Carlow') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil of most types. Blue petals surround yellow centers from early to late summer and again in autumn. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Prairie Sun rudbeckia, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
