Notes

Liverleaf (Hepatica nobilis) is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Pink, white, blue, or purple flowers open in early to late spring, and the three-lobed leaves come up after the blooms. Bees visit the flowers. Too much sun can damage the leaf edges, so place it where it gets shade.

Pairs well with Western sword fern, Rainbow's End hosta, and White snakeroot.

Europe, Central Asia, Corse, and NW. Balkan Pen..
