Notes

Lowland fragile fern (Cystopteris protrusa) is a fern for borders, rock gardens, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The green fronds grow slowly to 6 to 18 inches tall and wide.
