Notes

'Lucky Charm' prairie spiderwort (Tradescantia 'Lucky Charm') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 9 to 12 inches tall and 12 to 15 inches wide. Violet-blue flowers open in late spring and again from early to late summer, and they attract butterflies and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Blue-eyed grass, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Joe-pyeweed.
