Notes

'Ludwig Helfert' dahlia (Dahlia 'Ludwig Helfert') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. The orange flowers have pale yellow outer petals and bloom from early to late summer and again in autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit them. G.H. Lammerse bred it.

Pairs well with Joe-pyeweed, Lemon Grass lemongrass, and Vermillionaire cuphea.
