Notes

'Magenta Star' dahlia (Dahlia 'Magenta Star') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms from early to late summer and again in autumn. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the flowers. Cut the blooms often to keep new ones coming.

Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Montbretia, and Butterfly bush.
