Notes

Montbretia (Crocosmia crocosmiiflora) is a perennial with red summer flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It blooms from early to late summer and grows about 21 to 24 inches tall. It spreads 27 to 33 inches wide and tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Peony, Gladiolus, and Blue Chiffon rose of sharon.
