Notes

Magnolia vine (Schisandra chinensis) is a vine for containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The flowers are fragrant and attract bees. It can bloom in spring, summer, and autumn. A tall, twining vine like this needs a sturdy support to climb.

Pairs well with Niobe clematis, Monkshood, and Blue fescue.
