Notes
'Maikonigin' ox-eye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare 'Maikonigin') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. It bears white petals around a yellow center in spring and summer, and butterflies and bees visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The plant is drought tolerant and stays evergreen.
Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Nodding onion, and Sedge.
