Notes

Maryland meadow beauty (Rhexia mariana) is a perennial for pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to wet, sandy or loamy soil. The slender stems reach about 30 inches tall and carry pairs of hairy, distinctly veined leaves. White to pink flowers open at the top of the stems in summer and again in autumn, and bees visit them.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Hardy hibiscus, and Blue-eyed grass.
