Notes

Mealycup sage (Salvia farinacea) is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Violet blue flower spikes attract hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Cut the old flower stems back when new basal leaves appear to keep the plant lush.

Pairs well with Sundrops, Blue-eyed grass, and Purple top.
