Notes

Meehan's mint (Meehania cordata) is a perennial for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist soil. Long, trailing stems root as they go and form mats of textured green foliage topped with purple flowers that attract bees. Deer tend to pass it by. Plant it in a woodland garden, along a path, or at the front of a shady border.

Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Wedding Gown bigleaf hydrangea, and Crimson Queen Japanese maple.
