Notes

'Wedding Gown' bigleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Wedding Gown') is a shrub for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows at a rapid rate and reaches 24 to 36 inches tall. It is also salt tolerant, so it suits coastal gardens.

Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Astilbe, Japanese forest grass, and Autumn fern.
