Notes

'Midsummer Nightingale' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Midsummer Nightingale') is a perennial for borders, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and has fragrant blooms. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Inca Gold yarrow, Black-eyed Susan, and Sedge.
