Notes
'Milkmaid' asclepias (Asclepias incarnata 'Milkmaid') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, pollinator gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy or clay soil. Its white, fragrant flowers draw butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The clumping plant reaches 30 to 46 inches tall.
Pairs well with Pickerel weed, Great blue lobelia, Switchgrass, and Royal fern.
