Notes
Monstrosa/Flying Dragon hardy orange (Citrus trifoliata Monstrosa/Flying Dragon) is a shrub for a food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun. It is a semi-dwarf form with contorted stems that look best in winter. Fragrant white flowers open in spring, and yellow to light orange fruit almost the size of a golf ball follow. The stems are thorny, so plant it away from paths.
Pairs well with Raspberry, Serviceberry, and Evelyn rose.
