Notes
'Monstrosa' hardy orange (Citrus trifoliata 'Monstrosa') is a shrub for hedges and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. White flowers open in mid to late spring and smell sweet. The shrub grows 36 to 72 inches tall and wide, so it makes a good barrier. It also tolerates drought once settled in.
Pairs well with Loganberry, Serviceberry, Feather reed grass, and Passionflower.
