Notes
Moon stones (Pachyphytum bracteosum) is a succulent for containers, rock gardens, and houseplant collections. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and dry soil. Its thick, rounded, silver-blue leaves sit on short stems and look like white stones. Red flowers appear in summer and again in autumn, and bright light brings out the richest leaf color.
Pairs well with Wall germander, Creeping zinnia, and Heavy Metal switchgrass.
