Notes

Wall germander (Teucrium chamaedrys) is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, ground cover, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It stays evergreen, has fragrant green leaves, and handles drought well. Rosy lavender to pinkish purple flowers draw butterflies and bees.

Pairs well with Ice plant, Little bluestem, and Garlic chives.
