This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Montbretia, and Japanese forest grass.
