Notes

'Nana' hinoki cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana') is a shrub for specimen plantings, rock gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a moderate rate into a broad mound 24 to 36 inches tall and wide. The evergreen foliage keeps its color through winter, and the plant needs little care.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Cinnamon fern, and Sedge.
