Notes

'Needlepoint' Chinese holly (Ilex cornuta 'Needlepoint') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, specimen planting, and foundation beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to pass it by. It grows fast and forms a dense evergreen shape, and bees and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Beautyberry, Mondo grass, and Red spider lily.
