Notes

Oriental spicebush (Lindera angustifolia) is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Small greenish-yellow flowers open in early to late spring and are fragrant. The green leaves turn a new color in fall, which adds seasonal interest.
