Notes

Painted tongue (Salpiglossis sinuata) is an annual for borders, containers, and cut flowers. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its blooms come in blue, yellow, pink, purple, and red. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers, and the erect stems reach 12 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Sunrich Gold sunflower, Stock, and Rock soapwort.
