Notes

Palespike lobelia (Lobelia spicata) is a perennial for woodland and meadow gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, loamy soil. A single slender stem rises from a small rosette of basal leaves. It bears a spike of small, pale-blue to lavender flowers that bloom from late spring through summer. Hummingbirds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Wild geranium, Wild ginger, and Cinnamon fern.
