Notes

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea) is an annual for containers, food gardens, and xeriscapes. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide with an erect habit and green leaves. Yellow flowers open in summer and again in autumn. Birds visit the plant, and it tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Lettuce, Candy carrot, Summer savory, and Lemon thyme.
