Notes

Lemon thyme (Thymus citriodorus) is a perennial for borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It stays evergreen and has fragrant leaves, and pale lilac flowers draw butterflies and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Plants grow 6 to 12 inches tall and spread 12 to 18 inches.

Pairs well with Blanket flower, Clary sage, Rock rose, and Blue grama.
