Notes

'Snowflake' moss phlox (Phlox subulata 'Snowflake') is a perennial for rock gardens, borders, ground cover, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Star-shaped flowers cover the pointed, moss-like evergreen foliage in spring. Deer tend to pass it by. A light shearing after flowering will promote new foliage and increase blooms the following year.

Pairs well with Perennial candytuft, Gold dust, and Lamb’s ear.
