Notes
Shrubby cinquefoil (Dasiphora fruticosa) is a shrub for borders, hedges, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Its long-blooming yellow flowers attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It also gives good erosion control and needs little care.
Pairs well with Rocky mountain juniper, Emerald Pink moss phlox, Pearly everlasting, and Red fescue.
