Pinnatifida oak

Notes

'Pinnatifida' oak (Quercus dentata 'Pinnatifida') is a tree for specimen planting, small gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It grows slowly into a shrub or small tree. The soft, grey-green leaves reach up to 10 inches long and are cut to the mid rib into long fingers, so they look more like a Philodendron than an oak. New growth is flushed with red, and fall color is russet brown.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Daffodil, Snowdrop, and Yellow iris.
