snowdrop

Notes

Snowdrop (Galanthus woronowii) is a bulb for woodland gardens, naturalizing, and early spring color. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade. The pendulous white flowers often have green markings and bloom in late winter, often breaking through the snow. The foliage is broad, and the blooms are small, so plant them where you can see them up close.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Dog's tooth violet, and Black Hero tulip.
