Notes

'Prairie Glow' brown-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia triloba 'Prairie Glow') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. The rusty orange and yellow blooms open in summer and keep going for a long time, and they attract butterflies, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The clumping plant stays tidy with little care.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Common milkweed, and Big bluestem.
