Notes

'Rudbeckia triloba' brown-eyed Susan ('Rudbeckia triloba') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. Yellow flowers open from early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit them. Deer tend to browse other plants first. The dense clump makes a productive filler.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Hairy aster, and Nodding onion.
