Notes

Prairie nymph (Herbertia lahue) is a perennial for containers, meadows, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a small clump of narrow leaves. Dark blue-lavender flowers with a white eye open in spring, and bees visit them for nectar.

Pairs well with Sedge, Rabbit's ears, and Oregon grape.
