Notes
Rabbit's ears (Haemanthus humilis) is a bulb. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes part sun and dry to average soil. Its broad, tongue-shaped leaves stand upright and are often covered in white hairs. White to pale pink flowers with yellow stamens rise above the leaves on green to reddish stems. Plant the bulb just below the surface or slightly exposed.
Pairs well with Red Lion amaryllis, Sedge, and Labyrinth dahlia.
