Notes

'Pringreen' pin oak (Quercus palustris 'Pringreen') is a tree for specimen planting, shade gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Green flowers open in early to late spring and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer. This tree grows fast into an oval shape and turns color in fall.

Pairs well with Black gum, Cinnamon fern, Joe-pyeweed, and Sedge.
